Grrrr.... Those Town Boys were good. After largely dominating their opponents in the first 3 games the Dragons met their match last Sunday. As one parent noted in an email to me:
"I think the Dragons did a really great job holding their own against a team that was clearly a bit more fired up than their previous opponents. They rose to the challenge with grace, style and enthusiasm.
You guys are the greatest!"
It wasn't necessary to add that last line in about the coaching staff being great, but somehow it just slipped in.
In any case - the coaches are back on it and focusing this week on:
- Moving more on offense, getting the boys to move to the ball
- Better passes
We have some fun games planned to practice and we are confident that we can dominate again... wait, sorry, it's not about winning. And we don't even keep score. Ever.
So we'll just have a lot of fun.
BTW - we have asked Jaime Dominguez to get the Stuart Hall Varsity Basketball coach to invest in the Dragons. Clearly this is the future superstars that will populate Stuart Hall teams for years. So we've asked for simple things like better locker rooms, a trainer, massages for the boys after the game, and a team bus with a wet bar (apple juice only). Thank Jaime for working on this on the coaches behalf.
Thanks parents for your support with snacks and rides and everything.
We have a game this Sunday, but then two weeks off of games, though we'll still have practices.
